3W, VIETNAM. Geri, DK8KW, will be active as 3W9KW from Hanoi between
October 18-26th. Activity will be on various HF bands running QRP with
a KX3 transceiver into vertical antenna. Mode will be mostly CW and
possibly SSB (depending on conditions). QSL via his home callsign.

3Z50, POLAND (Special Event). Krzysztof "Kris", SP6DVP/3Z6V (ex-SP0DVP,
SR6DVP, SP6V, SN40DVP, SO6V), will activate the special event callsign
3Z50DVP to celebrate his 50th anniversary (1969-2019) of being an amateur
radio operator. Activity will begin on October 15th and end on April 30th
(2020). Operations will be on CW, SSB, RTTY and FT8. QSL via his home
callsign, direct, by the Bureau or LoTW.

5H, TANZANIA (Reminder). Maurizio, IK2GZU, has once again returned to
"Mission Ilembula" to do some work at the new hospital and orphanage
until October 28th. He plans to be active during his spare time as 5H3MB
on various HF bands. Maurizio will use his FT-100 and the mission's TS-850
into a tri-band 3 element beam (20/15/10m) fixed on Europe and a vertical

6O, SOMALIA. Ali, EP3CQ, is once again active as 6O1OO until October 6th.
Activity will be limited to his spare time because he works for the UN
Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) in Mogadishu. Operations are
usually on 80/40/30/20/17/15/10 meters (mostly on 40/20meters FT8) using
CW and FT8. Also, effective as of February 11, 2019, the callsign, 6O1OO,
has  been accepted for DXCC credit. QSL direct to: Ali Solhjoo, Schnacken-

8R, GUYANA (Update/Change). Rudi, DK7PE, was active from Guyana as
8R1/AH0G and not 8R1CW as first announced. Activity is now over.

9K, KUWAIT. Abdallah, 9K2GS, who was active during this past weekend's
CQWW DX RTTY Contest, will once again be active as 9K2K during the CQWW
DX SSB Contest (October 26-27th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power entry.

A3, TONGA (Update). Operators Andrew/VK5AK, Grant/VK5GR (Team Leader),
Oly/VK5XDX and Steve/VK5SFA continue to be active as A35JT from Tonga
until October 7th. Activity will be holiday style on 160-10 meters and
include the Oceania DX SSB Contest (October 5-6th). QSL via M0OXO, LoTW
and ClubLog. They are also going to try using ClubLog's new Live Logging

A9, BAHRAIN. Fawaz, A92AA, who was active during this past weekend's CQWW
DX RTTY Contest, will once again be active during the CQWW DX SSB Contest
(October 26-27th) as a Single-Op/All-Band entry. QSL via direct with 3
USDs and a SAE or Clublog's OQRS or LoTW.

AFRICAN TOUR (Update/Last Stop). Pista, HA5AO, will once again active as
7P8AO from Lesotho until October 19th. He will use his Elecraft K3S with
a KPA500 which is fed into a vertical antenna and will operate on 80-10
meters using mainly CW and FT8 on the higher bands. His updates, QSL

IOTA NEWS..............
  AF-054.  (Reminder) Operators YL Elena/RC5A and Yuri/RM0F are now active
           as 5H3CA and 5H3RRC, respectively, from Mafia Island, Tanzania,
           until October 5th Activity will be on 160-10 meters using CW
           and SSB. QSL via RC5A.

  AS-206.  Harry, JG7PSJ/JD1BMH/KW2X, will once again be active as JG7PSJ/7
           from Oshima Island (JA7,Miyagi -- QM08) between 2200z, October
           4th and 0600z, October 6th. This will depend on the weather.
           Activity will be on 40-10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL

  AS-206. Operators Ted/JF1CCH and Eiji/JQ1SUO will be active as JF1CCH/0
          and JQ1SUO/0 from Sado Island between October 13-14th. Activity
          will be on various HF bands using CW, SSB and FT8. QSL via their
          home callsigns.

  NA-008.  (Zone 2) Look for VY0ERC to once again be active from the
           Eureka Weather station sometime in October-November. This
           station is operated by the Eureka Amateur Radio Club [probably
           the most northerly located amateur radio club in the world]
           from Eureka, Nunavut. The list of the operating team was not
           provided. The suggested bands are 40 and 20 meters (possibly
           80m), as well as FM satellites (from ER60, EQ79) using SSB,
           the Digital modes and very slow CW. Activity will be limited

  NA-128.  Pierre, VE2GT, was active from the Canadian island, Grosse Île
           (CISA QC010), from the Irish Memorial National Historic Site

           VEFF-1507) on September 29th (1445-1815z +/- delay of the boat).

  NA-187.  Rick, K6VVA, who planned to activate White Rock sometime
           between September 15th and October 15th, has cancelled his
           operation due to the new rule by the IOTA Board.

  decided NOT to post or dedicate a Web page to announce upcoming IOTA

MD, ISLE OF MAN. Mark, M0UTD, will be active as MD1U from the Isle of

OR, BELGIUM (Special Event). The Belgian Institute for Postal Services
and Telecommunications (BIPT) to celebrate the birthday of Her Royal
Highness Princess Elisabeth of Belgium, Belgian radio amateurs may use
the prefix "OR" instead of "ON" between October 25th and December 25th.

OF, FAROE ISLANDS. Gjermund, LB5GI, will be active as OY/LB5GI from Faroe
Islands (EU-018) between September 30th and October 4th. Activity will

SV9, CRETE. Uli, DJ9XB, is once again active as SV9/DJ9XB from Crete
until October 3rd. Activity will be holiday style on 40-6 meters, but
with a focus on 6 meters and using only RTTY and FT8. QSL via his home
callsign, direct, by the Bureau or LoTW.

T30, WESTERN KIRIBATI (Reminder/Update). Operators Stan/LZ1GC, Karel/OK2WM
and Mitko/LZ3NY will be active as T30GC from Tarawa Atoll (OC-017), Western
Kiribati, between October 7-23rd. Activity will be on 160-10 meters using
CW, SSB, RTTY and FT8, with two to three different transmitters on different
bands and modes. Some planned details on frequencies are:

    160m will be 1822.5 kHz
      6m will be 50100 kHz (CW) and 50313 kHz (FT8)

  They will be working on all bands in SPLIT MODE as following:
    *  CW   :  QSX  UP   1-8 kHz
    *  SSB  :  QSX  UP  5-15 kHz
    *  RTTY :  QSX  UP  2-8 kHz

TG, GUATEMALA. Dennis, KT8X, will be active as TG4/KT8X from Guatemala
between November 22-28th. Activity will be holiday style on various HF
bands using CW, FT8, RTTY and possible part-time operations in the CQWW
DX CW Contest (November 23-24th). QSL LoTW only.

VP9, BERMUDA. Christoph, DL1YAF, is once again active as VP9/DL1YAF from
the Paget Parish (Grid FM72OG) on Bermuda (NA-005) until October 6th.
Activity will be holiday style on CW, SSB and PSK31, using a Elecraft
KX3 (KXPA100) into a MP1 Vertical Antenna and Dipole. QSL via home call-
sign, by the Bureau or direct.

VP6R PITCAIRN ISLAND DXPEDITION NEWS (Update). On September 23rd, the
following was posted on the Pitcairn Island DXpedition VP6R Web page
(https://pitcairndx.com/news-and-updates) [edited]: We are pleased to
announce The Pitcairn Island DXpedition’s participation in the 2019
CQWW SSB Contest on the Oct. 26th and 27th weekend. We will be a full-
scale Multi-Multi entry with stations active on 160 through 10 meters.
  This will be the first-ever CQWW SSB Contest entry from Pitcairn Island
and the first time the VP6 multiplier has been offered in this contest.
  If you’re not in the contest and need the contact, call us anyway.
Just give us our signal report and your CQ zone number in the exchange.
We want you in our log!  Be sure to have a little fun by working some
other stations too.

XV, VIETNAM. Sven, HB9DXB, will be active as XV9DXB from his second home
in Vietnam between October 2-9th. Activity is usually on 80/40/20/10
meters using CW and SSB, but reports state to look for him on 7019 and
14019 kHz CW. QSL via EB7DX direct or LoTW.

ZK3A TOKELAU ISLANDS DXPEDITION NEWS. Just a reminder that a large inter-
national team of operators will be active as ZK3A from the Tokelau Islands
(OC-048) between now and October 11th. Activity will be on 160-6 meters
using CW, SSB, the Digital modes (RTTY, PSK31 and FT8) and EME (6m). QSL
via YT1AD direct, OQRS (direct or Bureau) or LoTW (uploaded 6 months after

ADDED UPDATES:
  On September 25th, it was announced that the advance (setup) team
(Adrian/KO8SCA, Robert/N7QT & Dusko/ZL3WW) have been active on 20m band
so far. They will have limited time on the air during the daylight hours,
as they are still setting up antennas etc. The rest of team will be
arriving on the 1st October.
  On September 26th, it was announced that the Ukrainian team (UR9QQ,
US0KW, UR0MC, UT5UY, UT8IO) for the ZK3A DXpedition are on their way to
the island! Also announced: The ZK3A DXpedition 2019 from Tokelau Islands
has been approved by the ARRL Award Branch for DXCC credit.
