There are no busted call requests in the work queue - to date, all 731 have

HAM RADIO FRIEDRICHSHAFEN CANCELLED ---> As large-scale public events will
remain banned in Germany until 31 August owing to the COVID-19 crisis, the
45th Ham Radio Friedrichshafen will not take place on 26-28 June as planned.
The 2020 event has been cancelled, and Ham Radio will return on 25-27 June
2021. For the time being, "exhibitors will be presenting product innovations
in the form of a virtual trade fair" and DARC "will be offering presenta-
tions" on the Ham Radio website: http://www.hamradio-friedrichshafen.de/.
NEW IOTA CHECKPOINT ---> The IOTA Management Team has announced the appoint-
ment with immediate effect of a new checkpoint to cover Ukraine, Belarus and
Moldova. Andrei Plotkin, UT5URW (ut5urw[@]yahoo.com) has agreed to take on
checkpoint duties, previously covered by Igor Zeldin, UR5LCV (SK).
NEW WPX CONTEST DIRECTOR ---> Joseph W. "Bud" Trench, AA3B is the new Direc-
tor of the CQ WPX SSB and CW Contests. He succeeds Randy Thompson (K5ZD),
who has been serving as Interim Director [425DXN 1509]. Licenced since 1970,
Bud has a passion for contesting, and among his achievements are 15 first-
place finishes in the CQ WW DX CW Contest as V26K in the SO LP category, in-
cluding the current world record. He will start immediately to work with
Randy on processing the results of last month's WPX SSB Contest, and will
take the reins for next month's WPX CW Contest.
R207RRC ---> The team made about 8,300 QSOs during their 4-11 April opera-

been uploaded to Club Log (https://clublog.org/logsearch/R207RRC) and the
OQRS has been enabled.
QSL 9J2LA ---> "The QSL card has now been prepared and was sent yesterday to
UX5UO QSL Print", Charles (M0OXO) reported on 14 April. "I estimate the
cards will be out in 3-4 weeks depending on the status of the postal service
world ide and any potential influence on it by the COVID-19 situation".
QSL VP8PJ ---> "On 10 April the VP8PJ QSL card design was sent to ON5UR's
QSL Print Service for review and setup", Gene (K5GS) announced on 12 April.
"After our final review is complete the cards will be printed and shipped to
M0URX for distribution. Thousands of QSO and mailing labels have already
been processed and are ready for placement on QSL cards and direct mail
envelopes. Bureau cards will be placed in the system in early 2021.
There are no busted call requests in the work queue - to date, all 731 have
been investigated and answered by M0URX. LoTW uploads for all donors and
anyone who submitted an OQRS for a Direct Mail card have been processed. The
upload process is run daily. The complete log will be uploaded to LoTW six
months after the DXpedition".
As the COVID-19 crisis is affecting postal systems, direct cards will be
mailed as soon as practicable. Please be patient, "there is no need to send
e-mails asking about the QSL cards".
